Interstate gun sales must go through an FFL, by federal law, so there should have been an NICS on those sales, so the "loophole" doesn't apply in this instance....

Gun show loophole. Google it. I find it amazing you're just not seeing it. Lemme see if I can make it clearer. There are laws in place that prohibit a felon from owning, possessing and acquiring firearms. Felons still acquire them. So pass another law. And they'll still acquire them....

Maybe you should talk to Wayne LaPierre about that. 40% of the weapons sold are sold with no backround checks at all, thanks to things like the gun show loophole, which the NRA fights to keep in effect, even though 74% of NRA members believe that loophole needs to be closed. Never mind the numbers...
