(Please don’t frame the discussion by attempting to tell me what I can post] 1. Assault weapons are already effectively banned, and to this point it appears no military assault weapons were used on Vegas. Assualt weapons are either fully automatic or have a burst capability. What you are refer...

The laws should be uniform from state to state, IOW a federal law. Nothing will change as long as we have this hodge podge of state laws. Hmmm.........Maybe Chicago gun laws are not so strict after all. Column - The truth — and lies — about Chicago's gun laws. Chicago does not have the strictest gun laws in the country. It’s time for gun lovers to stop spreading that lie. A decade ago that was indeed a title Chicago wore proudly....

The question is what OTHER law would you recommend? In the scenarios you mentioned any number of laws are being broken, 1. Shooting someone is illegal. That isn’t working. 2. Only 11% went thru an FFL. so everyone is breaking the law. 3. Guns ownership is severely restricted in Chicago. Th...

A what is being done about that? According to the FBI, roughly 60% of guns used in crimes in Illinois were from out of state. The overwhelming number of those guns flow into Illinois from states that have much less restrictive gun laws. Most of those out of state guns came from Indiana, which...
