Biden did vote with the Republicans a lot in his career.  I havent forgotten the horrible 1994 crime bill either.. I am judging him based on recent performance, not from 20 to 30 years ago.  I am an eternal optimist....

The reason I nearly always support the president, is that he is usually a decent leader beset by vipers. All the hate he gets makes it harder to do anything as a country, it compromises his ability to push an agenda, any agenda. If there is any decent impulse within a POTUS, what will bring it out...
