I've noticed that too - ammo is becoming more available.  I was even able to buy a box of 350 22's in Walmart the other day....

Maybe impressive  . . .  but IMO too cumbersome. One or two 9mm Glock on the side of the driver's seat  . . .  easily reachable by both the driver and the passenger would be my choice.
