MAGAs, you won't like this, but Trump squandered his presidency in a year. He is tanking.

so now they are going to vote for the release.

who is trying to stop it?

trump.

he tried to get mtg and bobert not to vote for the release.

bobert might relent, johnson is a bulldog.

------------------------------------

House Republicans didn’t even bother showing up to work. This is no exaggeration. Until Nov. 10, the last day the House was in session was Sept. 19 — 11 days before the shutdown even began nearly two months ago.During the shutdown, many theories emerged as to what Republicans were up to. But there was one explanation that I kept hearing from House Democrats: it was all about the Epstein Files. In a nutshell, prior to the shutdown, Democrats were one member short of forcing the House to vote on releasing the Epstein Files. Adelita Grijalva — a newly elected Democrat from Arizona — would provide the final vote needed. For that to happen, she had to be sworn in, and for her to be sworn in, the House had to be in session. For House Speaker Mike Johnson, the shutdown was the perfect scapegoat, and keeping it alive was the only way for Trump and the House GOP to avoid a vote on releasing the Epstein Files — a vote Trump was nearly certain to lose. As Rep. Eric Swalwell told me, “We have shut down the government to protect Donald Trump and how close he is to the Epstein Files.”Like many Democrats, I considered this theory as just that: a theory competing with other plausible explanations. Perhaps the GOP wanted to use the shutdown to fire government workers. Maybe Trump wanted to use the shutdown to weaken the Affordable Care Act. Maybe it was all just an effort to distract from high prices. With the stunning release of new emails, we learned it probably was the Epstein Files all along. At a minimum, Epstein emails indicate that Trump was aware of some of what the convicted pedophile was up to, writing that Trump “knew about the girls.” There are other emails, but you get the gist. So, if the shutdown was actually about concealing the Epstein Files, it raises the question: In what other ways have they been driving the president’s actions? There are several well-accepted theories about what has motivated the Trump administration during its first 10 months in office: a desire to be an autocrat, revenge against political opponents, the implementation of Project 2025. But if you look back on the last year, it seems increasingly clear that the White House has been obsessed with containing the damage and fallout from the Epstein Files.

Trump lied. He blatantly lied. He looked right in the camera, with a straight face, and said there were no Epstein files. Then here we are. The emails are leaked and Trump's name is all over the damn place. It appears he is in the files. Almost everywhere. "Shut up Vegas. It's just a distraction to steer away from his agenda. It's all political." Oh ok....then it wouldn't hurt to release the files then.

I believe the Dems will take the elections because of this. People are sick and tired of this ****. I am. I am sick and tired of corruption, lies, and cover-ups. Americans can't win.

Here is some political maneuvering for us: The House went into an extended recess / shutdown period before the discharge petition had enough signatures and before a full floor vote on the Epstein-files bill had been scheduled. Yeah. Nothing skeptical about that. The Dems claimed they wanted to extend Obamacare subsidies. Yet, they agreed to reopen without it. So....evidently, they didn't give a ****.

Trump brought this on himself. Period.

So many people and even comedians said of Bill Clinton's lies about "looking straight into the camera and lying to the American public" that it was to be expected. He cheated on his wife so what else could he do but cover it up? They still loved Bubba anyway.

I smell a similar stench here too.
At this point, a rotting Nikita Khrushchev wouldn't bother me if he ran the country ok.
I expect very little in the way of a moral compass.  :ninja:

This ^^^ will only happen because of marketing/PR ****. Trading the set of assholes because of this
will NOT diminish the corruption, lies, and cover-ups you claim to be so sick of...

People would band together if they were truly that sick and tired of the government as a whole.
They'd look past the petty **** and unite for the "us" in this "us vs them"...  But, alas

The divided populace is what we have and the gubmint is sitting pretty.

I never said that I want the Dems. I said they will probably take the elections because of this. A,ericans are stupid. They can't help but be "either/or" idiots. The Dems won't change the corruption because they are part of it. A whole reset of the government is the only solution I can think of, but that is a fantasy dream.

I didn't mean to imply you, specifically, were for either side.
It would seem we're in full agreement on the corruption thing.
...and as I said the divided populace only helps "them".

I get the distinct impression that libs are way over the top defensive by comparison.
They seem to believe acting shocked and protesting when they're caught at something gets them off the hook. At least more so than cons.

They all do it so it's a matter of degrees of phoniness. Image

I believe MrKelly will win this prediction, but not primarily due to Epstein.

Every day the Orange Pedo in chief tweets about the STONK Market while the real economy is collapsing / in tatters.

Without retarded circlejerk tech bros funding data centers so some lonely porn addicts or cat ladies can generate romantic, hypersexual fan fictions via ChaTGPT, GDP growth would be 0% or lower.

Then you have conmen / liars / slick salesmen like Elon Musk saying we need to import 100,000 Indians every year - some of whom are allergic to using latrines - because [ reasons he made up / ****].

They are all a bunch of liars. The Dems are liars too but it never felt this brazen under the Hair Sniffer Biden, who at least entertained us for a bit by walking out on meetings hosting international leaders.

The Orange Pedo in Chief is just straight up repulsive

The roster of elite sexual offenders features Israeli individuals, with some asserting that Epstein was a CIA / Mossad operative.
The inquiry commenced during the Bush administration. The favorable agreement was granted (this was the sole viable choice to safeguard the Israeli participants). All of this data has been safeguarded (do not inquire "why hasn't Biden disclosed it"; this concerns National Security).

This is an opportune moment for the Democrats to compel the Republicans to sever their connections with Israel as well. This relationship is unbalanced and requires termination.
Do you have a verifiable link, or are you just holding your pecker?
