I don't see any of this making much difference unless they both agree to kill the filibuster and neither one ever will.

And Manchin is a lying asshole who for months said he opposed this bill because of inflation, when everybody knows the actual reason he opposes everything is because he's afraid of losing his cushy job.  At some point the **** W. Virginia electorate will decide they don't want any Democrat, and Manchin will end up just like Joe Donnelly did in Indiana.
